Path of Lemons
The path of the Lemons is a pleasant walk, intoxicated by the scent of lemons and satisfied by the wonderful views that we will observe along the way.
We start from Maiori from the collegiate church of Santa Maria a Mare built in the thirteenth century, which we leave behind climbing the stairs of Via Vena, resting on the steep rocky ridge, out of the town, we will find ourselves in a beautiful valley surrounded by terraces, here we meet a rich and varied vegetation, synthesis of the Mediterranean, including the characteristic trees of “sciuscelle” local name of carob, olive trees, and vines.
We then cross the whole village until we reach a beautiful panoramic terrace overlooking the valley, from here, in few minutes, we can descend and arrive in Minori, a small fishing village, where you can visit the beautiful roman villa from the 1st century (free entrance) or you can taste some delicacy from one of the best pastry shop of the region.
On request, it is possible to take a “lemon tour” in one of the most beautiful lemon groves on the area, where we will learn the techniques of lemon processing and have a tasting of lemon-based produce within the same lemon grove.
