Project Description

Path of Seaside Villages

This excursion is a bit particular, for most of the route we will walk on country lanes, long stairways and ancient streets between the various villages inhabited, there will be many ancient churches that we meet on our way.
We start from zero meters above sea level from the small fishing village of Maiori, the path starts from the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria a Mare of the thirteenth century, we will continue along the Path of lemons that in a few minutes will take us to Minori, among fragrant lemon groves and beautiful views, such as the viewpoint of “mortella” (dialectal name of myrtle, widespread in the area) overlooking Minori.
We will cross the village of Minori and after long staircases and ancient alleys we will reach another pearl of the Amalfi Coast the beautiful Ravello, passing through the famous Auditorium of Niemeyer we arrive in Piazza del Duomo, where we can have a coffee in the beautiful bars of the square, and then continue our journey to our next destination, and even to say a real jewel of our coast, set in the rock we find the beautiful Atrani.
We continue our descent to the sea, and after an infinite number of stairs and breathtaking landscapes, beautiful churches such as Santi Cosma and Damiano of 1400, or princely villas overlooking the sea.
We arrive in Atrani in a fabulous landscape, the path leads us right on the churchyard of the Collegiate Church of St. Mary Magdalene, which was built in 1274.
We continue our trekking towards Amalfi, the last stretch of this trek, which from the village of Atrani will take us to Amalfi, where you can not miss a visit to the majestic Cathedral of St. Andrew.
